FSSAI, West Region partnered with Sir VithaldasThackersey College of Home Science, SNDT Women’s University to organize an Eat Right Millet Mela from 24.02.2023 to 25.02.2023.It included a technical talks, plenary sessions, millet based recipe demonstrations, street plays on the benefits of millets in our diet and various competitions for the college students.
FSSAI, West Region partnered with Radio City to spread awareness about new orders related to FoSCoS and food licensing. Three audio clips and an exclusive interview with the Regional Director, FSSAI, West Region were broadcasted in 18 major cities of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
Capacity building of Custom Housing Agents (CHAs) and Importers was organised at Air Cargo office, Mumbaiin collaboration with BCBA. The focuswas to reduce non-compliances in food import clearance and thereby reduction in the clearance time. The training was attended by over 50 participants.
An industry interaction was organised on 17th February, 2023 at ITCFSAN, Mumbai with Sh.Rohit Kumar Singh, Secy. Dept. of Consumer Affairs as the Chief Guest. The meeting was also attended by Dr.RavinderSingal, IPS, Additional Director General Of Police & Controller of Legal Metrology, Maharashtra State, delegates from the Legal Metrology department and various stakeholders.
ITCFSANhosted the esteemed delegation from Netherlands on 2nd February 2023.The delegates included Mr. Gerard Bakker, Inspector-General, Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority;Mr. Bart de Jong, Consulate General of the Netherlands - Mumbai and senior members from Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, New Delhi.
